Front Five Building Services Limited successfully handed over the new heating and controls system to the 17th Century Church of St Giles in Northampton.
The new system, which incorporated bespoke colour matched fan convector units, has been sympathetically incorporated into the historic Church along with a new building management system allowing various zones within the church to be controlled independently, ensuring the system is both flexible and efficient.
The client needed a considerate contractor to appreciate the listed nature of the
building and Front Five Building Services Limited, working directly for the Diocese,
provided a “Turn Key” package including the construction of a new plant deck, strip
out of redundant systems, bespoke joinery works, new plant room (including 2Nr 100kW
Gas Fired Boilers), BMS Solution and all associated electrical works.
The Church remained open during the works and the Front Five team worked closely with the client to ensure disruption to regular activities remained minimal.
